“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,  gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”
Galatians 5:22-23 (ESV)
Do you ever have one of those days when you know you should just stay home because there is nothing good that will come out of your mouth? Don’t worry sweet friend. You are not alone. Sometimes the “world” just rises up inside of us causing us to say or do things that we know aren’t right.

The key to overcoming this is to remember the words of Psalm 55:17 “Evening and morning and at noon I utter my complaint and moan, and He hears my voice.” Cry out to God. Tell Him of your desire to please Him and He will “give you the desires of your heart” Psalm 37:4b. (ESV)

Daily we must come before Him to seek out His good and perfect will for our lives. He left us with His Holy Spirit that we would be filled with all that He is. Once You have asked God into your heart He will never leave you. He will never turn away from you. He will never let go of you.

Inside of you are all the fruits of His Spirit. Let Him empower you to live outside of the ways of the world.

And just so you have a smile on your face this morning here is a cute children’s song about the fruits of the Spirit to have stuck in your head all day!
