Worry

“So too the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance.”
Romans 8:26 (AMP)

These days it is so easy to get discouraged. The world is in chaos. People are worried about jobs, food, school, kids, marriages, you name it. We worry that we could be attacked as a nation by the evil that is killing Christians all over the world. It is indeed a worrisome time.

So much time is lost worrying about things that truly are out of our control. Do you spend too much of your waking hours as well as hours you should be sleeping, letting your mind get lost in the what ifs?

God Himself has given us a way past that worry. He has given us the gift of His Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is not just some vague entity that drifts around coaxing us to behave or tweaking our conscience so that we make good choices (Ezekiel 36:26-27, John 16:7-8, Isaiah 30:24).

He is the manifestation of the Living God sent to earth to guide and direct us every minute of every day.

Lay your fears and worries at the foot of the cross. Let the Holy Spirit carry your worries to The Father. Let God fill you with His hope and peace. ”May the God of your hope so fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound and be overflowing (bubbling over) with hope.” Romans 15:13 (AMP)
